Rice planting has started

From the beginning of May, rice farmers become very busy.  First, water is drawn to the fields, and then rice seedlings are transplanted to the fields.  You could see hard-working farmers and beautiful paddy fields on the way to the city centers from airports.

Paddy fields are often noisy with frog choirs.

The picture below is ‘kakashi’.  Kakashi is a life-size simple doll to scare wild animals trying to steal crops.
